Decorative Plywood
Fancy plywood, also known as decorative plywood, is typically veneered with attractive hardwood veneers like red oak, ash, white oak, birch, maple, teak, Sapele, cherry, beech, and walnut. Fancy plywood is a lot more expensive than regular plywood. In general, fancy face/back veneers (outer veneers) cost around 26% more than common hardwood face/back veneers (such as red hardwood veneers, Okoume veneers, Red Canarium veneers, poplar veneers, pine veneers, and so on). Most customers simply require one side of the plywood to be faced with elegant veneers and the other side of the plywood to be faced with standard hardwood veneers in order to save money. The quality of the raw materials used to make beautiful plywood should be significantly higher. The core of elegant plywood, for example, should be made of high-quality whole-piece core veneers. Fancy plywood is commonly used in furniture, cabinets, doors, and home décor.
