BWR plywood
BWR plywood, also known as boiling water-resistant plywood, is a type of plywood that is extremely water-resistant. It is entirely waterproof and is commonly utilised in the manufacture of furniture for the home, office, and outdoors. Phenolic resins are used to make BWR plywood. BWR plywood can be utilised indoors, outdoors, and for semi-outdoor applications in humid circumstances as an exterior plywood grade. The use of A-grade phenolic resins or phenol formaldehyde gives the waterproofing properties to the BWR plywood. As a result, it is commonly used to meet the needs of furniture in the home that may be exposed to water, such as kitchen cabinets and kitchen furniture. BWR plywood has zero surface core gaps, is warp-free, and has very strong bonding. BWR is a termite-proof plywood because the core layer is treated with several hazardous chemicals utilising VPI technology. IS:303 is the Indian Standard standard number for BWR plywood.
